DU PAIN ET DES IDEES  34, rue Yves Toudic. Metro: Jacques Bonsergent. One of the best bakeries of Paris.

All along the Quai de Valmy in the Canal St. Martin area, you will find hip bars in a sophisticated atmosphere to have a drink before dinner.

SIGHTSEEING

PALAIS GARNIER   1, Place de l’Opera. Metro: Opera.
The Palais Garnier houses the Opera de Paris, built by Eugene Garnier in a neo baroque style.

CANAL ST. MARTIN  The atmosphere in this neighbourhood is fresh, relaxed and picturesque. The section between rue Dieu and Jardin Villemin is very enjoyable, full of trendy bars, restaurants and shabby-chic boutiques. The canal has many iron footbridges and the banks lined with chestnut trees.

PLACE SAINTE. MARTHE  32, rue Sainte Marthe. Lovely square surrounded by restaurants and bars.

PASSAGE DU HAVRE  12-14 passage du Havre. Metro: St. Lazare. Shopping centre near the Gare Saint-Lazare, you can find brands as Zara, H&M, Etam, GAP, Levi’s, Sephora and many more at affordable prices.
