The fall wine festival in Greve in Chianti is the most important festival of its kind carried on in the Chianti region in Tuscany. It will take place on September 6 to September 9 in the main square of Greve in Chianti, a small wine growing town on the Via Chiantigiana, the Chianti route to Siena, about 30km south of Florence.

The festival takes place every year on second weekend of September, on Thursday, starts at about 5 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday at about 11 am and the stands close at about 8 pm. The idea is to buy a glass of wine at an affordable price of about 10 euros along with a ticket that allows you to taste up to eight of the wines offered at the stands. No reservations or tickets required.
