The Salon du Livre Gourmandis taking place right now in Perigueux, France. This is a three day event, this year runs from November 16 to November 18, which combines three things that I love, books, food and travel. The Euskadi – Basque Country cuisine is guest for this 2012 edition. These great chefs will be attending the salon: Jean Luc Rabanel, Jean Marie Gautier and Michel Oliver

Perigueux is the capital of the White Perigord, the perfect day to arrive is on a Wednesday or a Saturday, these are market days at the Place de la Clautre. Also Perigeaux has a beutiful medieval centre, the best places for a walk are the Rue Limogeanne, the surroundings of the Place St. Louis and the Quartier St. Front, the old quarter of craftsmen.
